Hour of the Wolf
Directed by Ingmar Bergman
Tagline: “The Hour of the Wolf” is the hour between night and dawn. It is the hour when most people die. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted by their deepest fear, when ghosts and demons are most powerful.
This is part horror film, part character drama, as we get to see Max Von Sydow descend into madness; haunted without end by the demons of his past, which physically manifest as bizarre characters. There’s a touch of The Shining to this, and an inescapable atmosphere of dread.
Four spooky pumpkins out of five.
That’s it for this year, kids. Thanks for reading along and I’ll be returning to regular styled blogs now.
